Team Manager info: We will be looking for team managers for each of the teams. Team manager duties can be delegated by the manager to other parents on the team. Duties include:
Sending out a weekly e-mail with important information and scheduling details
Helping to distribute uniforms at the beginning of the season and collecting them at the end.
Ensuring that volunteer duties (scorebook, line judges, etc.) are organized for each game.
Taking or recruiting someone to take some game and team photos during the season.
Planning (or delegating) an end of season party.
Two-Adult Policy: FHS requires two adults to be present for all activities. Coaches may occasionally need a parent to stay for some practices in order to fulfill that requirement. They will notify the team prior to practice if an extra adult is needed. Please be willing to take a turn, if needed.
Uniforms/Equipment: Players selected for the team will need a dedicated pair of tennis shoes for court use (they don’t have to be volleyball shoes - any tennis shoe is fine) that are not worn outdoors. They should wear a separate pair of shoes to the gym (most players wear slides or Crocs because they are easy on and off) and change into their court shoes once inside the gym. Players will also need to supply their own solid black compression shorts to be worn under their uniform shorts. Compression shorts must have a 4-inch or longer inseam. Last season, the girls used the CRZ Yoga Women’s Naked Feeling Biker Shorts with a 4” inseam ($18) from Amazon. Uniform shorts and a jersey will be distributed to each athlete for use during the season, but must be returned at the end of the season.
SportsEngine: FHS uses the SportsEngine platform for scheduling and communication. After registering for the preseason, please download the SportsEngine Team Management app and sign in using the same credentials used to register on the FHS website. You should see your child’s team listed when you sign in to the app. It is essential that everyone has the app, as its messaging function will be used to communicate last minute changes or updates to the team.
