Assistant Coach
Kathryn Parker
Education: I received an Associate of Science from Louisburg College in NC and a Bachelor of Science with a minor in Sociology from George Mason University.
Basketball Experience: Though I never played on a basketball team, I got a "sideline seat" when I was cheerleading for all 4 years in high school for girls and boys basketball as well as soccer and football. I cheered for a bit in early college days also.
Years Involved with FHS: Five years.
Other Favorite Activities: If I had extra time you might find me watching tv with my kids, riding a bike, toasting some s'mores by a fire, or cosmic bowling.
List church and/or youth group you’re involved in: I am very active in a lot of ministries at Jerusalem Baptist Church. Some of my favorite things are that I teach a Bible Study for elementary aged children, I play bass guitar with the worship team, and I enjoy helping with youth trips.
Why do you want to coach basketball? I understand the time, practice, and effort it takes to do your best at something. Along with competitive cheering, I played softball and tennis for some of my high school years. I hope to encourage the girls to grow in their skill and confidence in the sport of basketball. Team sports provide an opportunity to grow character and confidence that can carry on past high school.
Anything else you want us to know? Last year, I had the opportunity to be an assistant coach to the FHS Middle School Girls' team. We had an awesome season and so much fun! I am very excited to see the team this year put into action all that they have practiced so hard since summer conditioning. This is going to be a great season!

Sarah Calamore
Basketball Experience: I coached my daughter’s Upward basketball teams for a couple of years, but only at the lower elementary level.
Years Involved with FHS: This is our first season with FHS! Woo-Hoo! We’ve been looking forward to it for a few years!
Other Favorite Activities: Reading with my kids, walking our dog in the woods and eating all kinds of food!
